Recovery Paths Supported
At Able Place Recovery, we understand that recovery is not a single path or timeline. Each individual arrives with a unique history, set of challenges, and personal goals.
Our role is to provide a safe, accessible, and supportive environment where residents can engage in recovery in the way that best supports their long-term health and stability.
We support multiple recovery pathways while maintaining clear expectations around accountability, safety, and community respect.

Abstinence-Based Recovery
We support individuals who choose an abstinence-based approach to recovery. This path emphasizes complete abstinence from drugs and alcohol while developing healthy coping strategies, peer support, and personal accountability.

Residents following this path may participate in:
-
Structured recovery programming
-
Peer support and accountability groups
-
Individual counseling and goal setting
-
Daily routines that promote stability and independence

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Able Place Recovery supports Medication-Assisted Treatment as a valid and evidence-based recovery option when clinically appropriate and overseen by qualified medical professionals.

MAT may include the use of prescribed medications to help manage cravings, reduce withdrawal symptoms, and support sustained recovery.

Our program is designed to accommodate residents utilizing MAT while maintaining program structure and community expectations.

Trauma-Informed Recovery
Many individuals we serve have experienced significant physical trauma, medical trauma, and psychological distress. Our recovery environment is grounded in trauma-informed principles that recognize the impact of injury, loss, and systemic barriers on substance use.

This approach emphasizes:
-
Emotional safety and respect
-
Predictable routines and clear communication
-
Empowerment through choice and autonomy
-
Avoidance of re-traumatizing environments or practices

Peer-Supported Recovery
Connection is a critical component of recovery. Able Place Recovery fosters a peer-supported environment where residents can live, learn, and heal alongside others who understand the realities of disability and addiction.

Peer support may include:
-
Shared recovery experiences
-
Community accountability
-
Mutual encouragement and mentorship
-
Opportunities to rebuild confidence and purpose

Holistic and Whole-Person Support
Recovery is not limited to substance use alone. We support whole-person healing by addressing the physical, emotional, and practical aspects of daily life.

This may include:
-
Support with independent living skills
-
Health and wellness routines
-
Community reintegration and stability planning
-
Accessible aftercare and long-term recovery planning

Our Commitment
While we support multiple recovery paths, Able Place Recovery maintains clear program expectations to ensure the safety, dignity, and stability of our community.

All residents are expected to engage respectfully, follow program guidelines, and commit to their personal recovery journey.

Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. At Able Place Recovery, it is accessible, intentional, and built to last.
